The Daily Dot

The Internet's Hometown Newspaper

It was the aim of Wondersauce to exhibit a progressive, responsible, and extensible experience that catapults The Daily Dot into the upper echelons of identifiable and lauded publishing destinations. As apart of our approach we focused on creating an information architecture that was self sustaining and could evolve with the every changing focus on the internet and therefore the editorials topics. Taking that a step further into stories we then unlocked the contextual and relatable topics to create tiers and layers of storytelling.

We put the new system to work by surfacing categories, sub categories, hubs, and streams in contextual moments throughout the experience.

Rethinking how you dream up, tell, and represent digital stories.

We set out to create an article system that speaks to the relationships between direct, indirect, and tangentially-related content within a story. The system expands and contracts based on the editorial desires and the nature of the story itself.
