Media Buyer / Analyst


Wondersauce is looking for a Media Buyer + Analyst to join our growing Marketing + Media team, analyzing data across paid media, social media (including listening), and web. In this hybrid role you’ll be working across multiple projects, collaborating with strategists, community managers, and product managers to place + optimize paid ads and tell stories with data to inform decisions around design, content, and user experience. As teams’ resident data expert, you’ll be responsible for using data to aid the team in solve problems, drive growth, and inform actionable strategies for our clients.


  • Experience working within native ad platforms–Google AdWords, Google Merchant, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Ads Manager, etc. You’ll be executing and managing paid campaigns for our clients on a daily basis.
  • Run QA process when implementing ads to ensure seamless launch.
  • Experience with native or other reporting platforms such as Tableau, Salesforce, Sisense, etc. and using data to make informed optimizations or recommendations to campaigns and strategies.
  • Google Analytics setup and analysis.
  • Create weekly and monthly reports, deriving insights from the data
  • Collaborate with Marketing Strategist to create and measure campaign objectives, and optimize based on data.
  • Help with other client business analysis (customer segmentation, market research, social listening).
    Identify key learnings and actionable insights that inform strategy.
  • Contribute to general team knowledge of ad products, strategies, and new opportunities.

We’d like to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in media, analytics, data science, or marketing.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Proven ability for data interpretation that maps back to clients’ business objectives
  • Experience with social, media, and web analytics tools, including social listening (Brandwatch, Google Analytics & Ad Products, Crimson Hexagon, or Salesforce).
  • Experience working with data from across the online advertising ecosystem including Ad servers, DMP’s, Rich media vendors, 3rd party validation data (ComScore vCE/Nielsen OCR), Brand Safety & Verification (Double Verify, MOAT, Integral Ad Science) Brand Impact (Millward Brown Digital, Nielsen Brand Effect), etc.
  • Deep knowledge of at least one web analytics tool (e.g. Google Analytics, Omniture) with experience setting up customer journey and channel pathway analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to prepare client-facing deliverables
