Scaling CrunchLabs’ Digital Future

Founded by former NASA engineer and YouTube creator Mark Rober, CrunchLabs empowers kids to think like engineers and solve real-world problems through play.

Wondersauce partnered with CrunchLabs to grow and strengthen their digital ecosystem: streamlining subscription management with custom middleware, scaling their e-commerce experience, and building new platforms to support their ambitious vision.

When it came time to launch Hack Pack, a new subscription for older kids and teens, Wondersauce rebuilt the Shopify storefront to handle greater complexity, support future growth, and reach a broader audience. This included integrating a 3PL for global fulfillment and aligning the experience with a unified CrunchLabs design system built for scale.

The partnership also brought to life the viral Space Selfie Project in partnership with Google and T-Mobile, which sent over 900,000 user selfies into orbit.

From infrastructure to imagination, the work is helping CrunchLabs deliver a new kind of STEM education built for the next generation.

"Wondersauce has been our dev and design partners for three years now. They are a core part of the team, and have helped to optimize our site, engineer our surprisingly complicated subscription backend, and build fun and hugely successful micro-sites for us along the way."
